At ProChicken Africa, producing premium-quality chicken begins on the farm. We have built an integrated broiler farming network that combines our own farms with a carefully selected group of contracted farmers who share our commitment to quality, animal welfare, food safety, and Halal production.
This partnership model enables us to maintain a reliable supply of healthy birds while supporting local poultry farmers through access to quality inputs, technical expertise, and a guaranteed market.

Facility Operations
Quality Starts with the Right Chicks
The foundation of a healthy flock begins with quality day-old chicks. ProChicken Africa procures day-old chicks exclusively from proven and reputable hatcheries with a demonstrated record of producing healthy, high-performing broiler chicks.
Before approval, hatcheries are evaluated for breeder flock health, hatchery management practices, vaccination programs, biosecurity measures, chick quality, and compliance with industry standards. By sourcing from trusted hatcheries, we ensure that our farms and contracted farmers receive chicks with excellent genetic potential, strong vitality, and high survival rates.
Supporting Our Contract Farmers
Our contracted farmers are an integral part of the ProChicken Africa supply chain. To ensure consistency throughout our production system, we supply approved day-old chicks from our selected hatcheries together with premium-quality feed from our approved feed manufacturing partner.
In addition, our farmers receive veterinary support, technical training, and continuous guidance throughout the production cycle. This integrated support enables every farm to produce birds that meet the same high standards required by ProChicken Africa.
Maintaining the Highest Standards
Every contracted farm operates in accordance with ProChicken Africa’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), covering biosecurity, bird welfare, housing, nutrition, vaccination, health management, hygiene, environmental management, and record keeping.
Our field team conducts regular farm visits to monitor flock performance, provide technical advice, and ensure that best farming practices are consistently followed.
Regular Farm Audits
To safeguard the integrity of our supply chain, ProChicken Africa conducts comprehensive audits of all contracted farms every three months.
These quarterly audits evaluate compliance with our farming standards, including biosecurity, housing conditions, feeding practices, bird welfare, disease prevention, sanitation, environmental management, documentation, and overall operational performance. Where improvements are required, our technical team works closely with farmers to implement corrective actions and promote continuous improvement.
Complete Traceability
Every flock supplied to ProChicken Africa is fully traceable from the hatchery to the farm and ultimately to our processing facility. This traceability system allows us to monitor every stage of production and ensures accountability, food safety, and product integrity.
